Full description
"Only the table, the balls, and you." Zen Pool is a quiet game of solo pool set in a garden of raked sand, washi paper and stone. There is no opponent, no clock and no way to fail. Fifteen gardens each lay their balls out in a pattern, and you clear them in any order at your own pace, counting strokes against a gentle par. • Fifteen pattern gardens: from Morning Mist with four balls to Stillness with ten, by way of Raked Ring, Koi Pond, Moon Gate, Crane, Spiral Path and Cherry Rain. • A haiku for every garden: each layout comes with its own three short lines. • A stepping-stone path: gardens are walked in order, and each finished one leads you on to the next. • Gentle par: one stroke per ball with a little to spare; finish at or under par for three stones. • Nothing can fail: if the cue ball falls, it simply returns to the table. • A gentle line on request: ask for a suggested stroke whenever you feel stuck, at no cost. • Breathing ring: an optional slow ring beside the table paces eight seconds per breath. • Open Table: seven balls placed wherever they fall, with no path, no par and nothing counted against you. • Draw, still or follow: choose where the cue ball comes to rest, with arrows that turn the cue by a hair. • The Shed: spend petals, earned only by playing, on cues such as Bamboo, Ink Stone and Kintsugi and cloths such as Indigo Dye, Sakura Dusk and Autumn Maple. • Moments: twelve quiet milestones, like Flowing Water for four balls in a row or Undisturbed for a garden without a scratch. • A results card for every garden: strokes against par, your longest flow and how often the cue ball returned. • Your own record: sittings, strokes, minutes at the table and stones gathered. • Calm settings: the breathing ring, moving sand, the aiming guide and soft haptics can each be turned off. • Fully offline: no account, no ads, no purchases and no timers. • Phones and tablets: the layout adapts comfortably to either screen. Zen Pool has no daily challenge or streak to protect, and that is deliberate. Instead it suits a small daily ritual: one garden with your morning coffee, a single open table before bed. The path remembers where you stopped, so tomorrow the next garden will be waiting, its haiku ready and its stones unmoved, whenever you choose to come back.
