Full description
The neon grid hums beneath the table, the display reads eighty seconds and nine numbered balls lie scattered across the cloth. You line up the first pot while the timer drains away, because here the clock never waits: it runs while you aim and keeps running while the balls roll. The 3 drops, four seconds leap back onto the display, the combo counter lights up, and you are already hunting the next angle. Q: What is Pocket Rush? A: A time-attack pool game with a synthwave arcade look. Each stage scatters nine balls, numbered one to nine, and hands you a starting clock. Clear the whole table before it reaches zero. Q: How does the clock work? A: Every ball you pot adds four seconds, and potting two with one shot counts for both. Scratch the cue ball and you lose eight seconds, although you then place it anywhere you like. Aiming eats into the clock too, so quick decisions matter as much as accurate ones. Q: What is the combo? A: Pot on back-to-back shots and every ball scores more: x2, x3, x4 and upwards. A miss resets the multiplier, so a clean run through the rack is worth far more than a scrappy one. Q: How many stages are there? A: Twelve, from Insert Coin and Warm Up through Neon Alley, Combo City, Turbo, Hyperspace and Glitch to Final Boss and High Score. The starting clock shrinks from 80 seconds on the first stage to 42 on the last, and clearing a stage opens the next. Q: How are stars and scores decided? A: Finish with 25 seconds left for three stars, or 12 for two. Whole seconds remaining turn into extra points, added to what your pots and combos earned. Q: Is there a high-score table? A: Yes. Enter three initials in the operator menu and your total score joins an arcade-style hi-score board, next to your own record for every stage. Q: What do tokens buy? A: Clearing a stage pays out tokens, and even a failed run earns a few for the balls you potted. Take them to the Prize Counter for five cue skins, such as Laser Pink, Volt and Chrome Turbo, each with a longer object-ball guide, plus five LED cloths like Hot Magenta, Acid Lime and Outrun Sunset. Tokens come from play alone; there is nothing to buy with real money. Q: Is there anything else to collect? A: Twelve trophies, from Player One for your first clear to Clutch for finishing with under three seconds left and Perfect Run for clearing a stage without a single miss. Q: How do the controls work? A: You drag on the cloth to aim and fine-tune with the arrow buttons. Then you pick the power and a spin of draw, stun or follow before hitting SHOOT. Insert a coin, pick a stage and find out how many seconds you can bank. Pocket Rush runs entirely offline, with no account and no ads, so the arcade stays open wherever you are, on a phone or a tablet.
