Full description
Built as a toolbox you enter through the symptom. "Slow, but only in the evening." → Look at channels. A spectrum view for 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz places every access point around you by signal strength and channel width, so you can see how many are sitting on top of yours. Congestion is reported on a five-step scale and deliberately not as a percentage — there is no honest basis for putting a percentage on how crowded a band is. "Wi-Fi drops out for about a minute sometimes." → Look at the band. Channels in the radar-avoidance range go quiet for a minute or more when radar is detected. That is the specification working, not a fault. The scan lists which regulatory group each access point sits in, and flags channels that are not usable in the region. "Video is fine but the game disconnects." → Look at ping. This calls the system ping binary for genuine ICMP, without root. You get minimum, maximum, average, packet loss, and jitter as a standard deviation. Thresholds are 5% loss, 30 ms jitter, 100 ms average. Games break on jitter rather than on average latency, which is why jitter is always on screen. "Something is slow and I cannot tell where." → Look at traceroute. Up to 30 hops, walked by raising TTL from 1, again without root. It tells you whether the problem is inside the house or past your provider. "I think there are two routers stacked up." → Double-NAT check. It looks for a consumer router sitting behind a provider gateway and reports it as a possibility rather than a verdict, and it distinguishes that from carrier-grade NAT. "I want to know what is actually connected." → Device list. ICMP plus 17 TCP ports, combined with reverse DNS, to guess what each device is, with a three-level confidence marker. The scan range is limited mechanically to the subnet you are currently attached to. A MAC vendor table of 58,601 prefixes covering 33,983 company names is stored on the device. No MAC address is ever sent to a server for lookup. Be aware that from Android 10 onward the OS hides the ARP table, so in practice the vendor column is often blank. Active scans are capped by the OS at four every two minutes. Rather than hide that, the app shows how many remain and when the next one is allowed. — All free Everything above. Nothing in that list is gated. — Pro, a single one-time purchase CSV export of the Wi-Fi list and the device list. There is no subscription. Buy it once and that is the end of it. — Not included mDNS and Bonjour discovery, speed testing, saved measurements or history, before-and-after comparison, PDF reports, notifications, widgets, cloud sync. None of these are implemented. Available in English and Japanese.
