Ninety sealed chambers wait beneath the sand, each one hiding a wall of overlapping cards carved into the stone by lamplight. Lift them one at a time, chain them for as long as your nerve holds, and empty the wall before the draw pile dies. HOW IT PLAYS Gilded Cascade is a tri-peaks solitaire built around one simple rule: tap any uncovered card that sits exactly one rank above or below the card on the plinth. Kings wrap onto Aces, so the wall never truly locks. Every lift you make without touching the draw pile extends your cascade, and every extra link in that cascade is worth more than the last — a clean seven-card run pays several times what seven scattered taps do. When nothing chains, flip the next card from the pile and keep going. Clear the whole wall and the cards you never needed convert into a completion bonus. NINETY CHAMBERS, ONE LONG DESCENT The antechambers are forgiving: three shallow tiers and a draw pile deep enough to bail you out of almost any dead end. Then the galleries arrive, the tiers stack higher, and the pile starts to thin. By the abyssal vaults you are working a sixty-card wall on barely half as many draws, and every wasted flip is felt. Stars are earned, not handed out. The first is for clearing the chamber. The second wants a long unbroken cascade. The third wants a draw pile you barely touched. SEALS AND RELICS Motes earned in the dark buy two very different things. In the middle of a run, seals bend the current chamber: Sunbeam picks out a card that chains, Rewind puts your last lift back on the wall, Wild Seal lets the next lift ignore rank entirely, and Deep Cache buries three more cards into the pile. Between runs, relics change how the next chamber is dealt. Deeper Cache fattens every draw pile. Gilded Touch raises every score. Oracle Lamp hands you a free Sunbeam at the start of each chamber. Scarab Fortune pays out more Motes. Each has three tiers, and the full set is a long project.
