Full description
Debt does not clear itself. Payoff Ladder shows you exactly how long it will take, what the interest will cost you, and how much sooner you finish if you put one more note against it each month. ONE LADDER FOR EVERYTHING YOU OWE Add each debt once — mortgage, auto loan, student loan, credit card, personal loan, medical debt, HELOC, store card, payday loan or a loan from family. Picking a type prefills a realistic rate and term, and the payment field works out the contractual instalment from whatever balance, rate and term are on the screen, so you are not doing amortization by hand before you can even start. The dashboard puts the whole portfolio on a single ladder: total balance, what you owe this month, how much of your last payment went to principal rather than interest, and every tracked debt underneath it. AVALANCHE, SNOWBALL, OR NEITHER Set one extra amount for the month and see all three approaches side by side. Avalanche aims the extra at the highest rate and is always the cheaper of the two. Snowball aims it at the smallest balance and is the easier one to keep up with. Minimum-only is there so you can see what doing nothing actually costs. The model is the real rollover: every debt takes its contractual payment, the extra goes to one target, and the moment a debt clears its payment is freed and folded into the extra. That rollover is the whole reason these strategies work, and you can watch it happen month by month in the balance trail. THE "WHAT IF" THAT CHANGES YOUR MIND Open any single debt and drag the extra-payment control. The payoff date, the months saved and the interest saved update as you move it. Under that sits the full amortization schedule, row by row, and the ledger of every payment you have actually logged against that debt. TRACK IT, DO NOT JUST PLAN IT Log payments as you make them, with the principal and interest split recorded automatically and a note if you want one. Milestone badges sit on the rungs of the ladder and unlock as balances are retired and payments stack up. AN OFFLINE REFERENCE LIBRARY Dozens of payoff tips, grouped by topic and filterable — why a shorter term beats a lower payment, why consolidation is not repayment, how to check that an extra payment posts to principal, what biweekly payments really buy you, and how to compute a break-even month before refinancing. BUILT TO STAY YOURS Payoff Ladder connects to no bank, no aggregator and no credit bureau. There is no account and no sign-in. Every figure you enter is stored in a database on your phone and is never transmitted anywhere — no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting. The entire app works in airplane mode. Set your own currency, choose whether to hide cents, round payments up to the next ten, and turn ambient motion off if you prefer a still screen. Payoff Ladder is a planning tool, not financial advice. Every projection is arithmetic on the numbers you supply.
