Full description
Remote Assist Endpoint prepares this Android device to receive visible technical help from someone you trust. ONE-TIME SETUP Endpoint creates a protected device identity and shows a temporary eight-digit setup key. Give that key only to the intended helper. It expires and cannot be reused after enrollment. YOU APPROVE EACH SESSION Every request shows the helper identity. Accept or decline before assistance begins. Android then shows its own screen-sharing prompt. The active notification and Endpoint status keep assistance visible, and Stop ends access immediately. OPTIONAL REMOTE CONTROL Screen viewing works without Android Accessibility. To let the approved helper perform taps, swipes, pinch zoom, Android navigation, or focused text entry, enable Remote control after reading and accepting the full in-app disclosure. The service is active only for allowlisted actions during an approved session and can be disabled in Android Settings at any time. RELIABLE PRESENCE Notification and background-access setup can keep an enrolled Endpoint reachable for assistance requests. Sleep stops screen streaming and uses the configured lightweight check interval until a resume request is found. Android and Remote Assist continue to show required foreground status. SECURITY AND PRIVACY Device identity pinning, fresh proof of possession, TLS, and encrypted WebRTC media protect the connection. Screen frames and typed content are not stored by the Remote Assist service. Endpoint does not provide hidden recording, camera or microphone access, file transfer, remote shell, permission-dialog control, or lock-screen bypass. Manual lock stops capture and fresh Android screen-sharing approval is required after unlock. Requires Android 10 or newer. Some device manufacturers provide additional battery or background settings; Endpoint links directly to the relevant Android settings surfaces but never changes those settings without the device user's action.

What's new

Improved connection recovery and session reliability. Fixed stale connection callbacks and clarified the waiting status when the Controller is offline.
