Digital Field Book

Digital Field Book is the Android app of the Digital Field Book farm management platform. It is made for the people who do the work – the sprayer operator, the tractor driver, the agronomist walking the crop – so every operation is recorded where it happens and reaches the office without being typed again from a notebook. You need an account. Your company uses the Digital Field Book web platform and your administrator creates your sign-in; the app cannot be used on its own. WHAT YOU RECORD • Field work and harvest, on the parcel where it happened: machine, implement, operator and hours, product, quantity per hectare or in total, BBCH growth stage, the target pest, disease or weed, treated area and weather. • Machine work: fuel with litres, cost and invoice number, repairs and maintenance, odometer. • Scouting notes: pests, disease, weeds, deficiencies and damage, with severity, BBCH stage and a photo. • Documents: photos and PDFs uploaded from the phone, and the company's documents searchable and at hand. IT WORKS WHERE THERE IS NO SIGNAL Everything you record is saved on the phone first and sent when there is a connection again. The "Waiting to send" screen shows what has not reached the server yet, and a resend never creates a duplicate. LABEL CHECKS When you save a treatment with a connection, the platform checks it against the product's authorisation – crop, dose, BBCH window and applications per season – and shows its warnings before you move on. You decide; the record keeps what you decided. THE MAP Your parcels on OpenStreetMap, served from our own server once you allow the map background. "Which parcel am I in?" finds the parcel you are standing in, and that position stays on the phone. ONE RECORD, MANY REPORTS In the web platform the same entries become the treatment register, the cost per parcel, the monthly work hours and the harvest traceability. Nobody types them twice. REMINDERS The app asks the server about once an hour and tells you when a machine's service is due or a support request has been answered. THREE LANGUAGES Romanian, Hungarian and English. Every screen has a picture guide, shown once. PRIVACY AND SECURITY • No ads, no advertising ID, no analytics and no crash-reporting service. • No background location. A position is recorded only if your company has switched position recording on and you have too: at the moment you save an entry, or while a work session you started is running, with a notification on screen for as long as it runs. • Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is supported. • Your employer is the controller of the records made here; we process them on its behalf.
