Full description
OpenVitals is a private health dashboard for Android. It shows your Health Connect data in one place: activity, sleep, heart, body, vitals, nutrition, hydration, caffeine, mindfulness and, if you want it, cycle tracking. Your data stays on your phone. There is no account, no cloud sync, no ads and no analytics, and the app has no internet permission. OpenVitals reads Health Connect only after you grant access, and it writes only the entries you save. What you can do * See your day on a dashboard you can reorder * Explore each metric by day, week, month or year, with trends, goals and your personal baseline * Check Daily Readiness, Body Energy, Training Readiness, stress, HRV status, cardio load and sleep score, each with a plain explanation of how it is worked out * Log drinks, food, workouts, mindfulness, weight, body fat, blood pressure, blood oxygen, temperature and more, straight into Health Connect * Follow your caffeine: active amount, daily limit and a bedtime forecast * Record GPS workouts with live stats, offline maps and Bluetooth heart rate, cadence and power sensors * Import Apple Health exports and GPX, KML, KMZ, TCX, FIT and CSV files * Build a PDF health report to share with your doctor * Track your cycle: periods, symptoms, basal temperature, next-period estimates and pill reminders * Sync supported Garmin watches directly over Bluetooth * Copy data between two phones over Bluetooth, with no account and no network * Earn badges for steps, distance, floors, workouts, hydration, sleep and mindfulness * Turn on reminders for drinking, mindfulness and your cycle * Choose metric or imperial units, a light, dark or AMOLED theme, and one of 14 languages Why OpenVitals * Private by design: no account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking * Health Connect stays the source of truth. Only watch measurements and cycle notes that Health Connect cannot store are kept in the app, on your phone * You choose each permission and can change it later * Open source: the code, release notes and builds are public Requirements OpenVitals needs Health Connect. It is part of Android 14 and newer. On Android 13 and older, install the Health Connect app from Google Play. Health disclaimer OpenVitals is for general wellness and information only. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. Cycle estimates are not a method of contraception. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

What's new

Bike sensors now work without GPS: a stationary ride, or one with GPS off, shows cadence, speed, distance, and average and max speed. A wheel speed sensor measures distance without pauses, and its distance and top speed beat GPS, in the saved workout too. New in Settings, Activities: take a workout's distance from its GPS route, for apps that estimate distance from steps (off by default). Fix: outlined buttons now draw their border.
