Digital Detox Tree: Focus

🌳 Grow focus and break device addiction patterns. Digital Detox Tree is a calm, honest digital wellbeing widget that lives on your Android home screen and turns your screen time into a tree you can watch grow. The less you use your phone, the more your tree grows. The more you scroll, the more it wilts. No shame, no blocking — just a gentle, always-visible nudge toward mindful device use. 🧠 Why a tree? Most screen time apps either lock you out or pile on guilt. Digital Detox Tree takes a softer path: it gives your phone usage a face. Every time you reach for your device, you see your tree first. That tiny moment of awareness is what helps reduce screen time, fight phone addiction, break the doomscrolling loop, and build healthier digital habits — without willpower battles or restrictive timers. It is a digital detox tool, an app usage and screen time tracker, a focus aid, and a quiet mindfulness companion, all in one home screen widget. 🌱 How it works • Idle time makes your tree grow. • Active app usage shrinks and desaturates it. • The widget updates automatically in the background — no timer to start, no session to launch. • Your home screen becomes a real-time mirror of your digital wellness. • Place as many widgets as you like; each one has its own settings. 🎨 What you can customize • 40 tree species — oak, cherry, willow, pine, palm, magnolia, baobab, sequoia, joshua tree, and many more • 134 birds that visit your tree, matched to its biome and to day or night • 13 weather presets: clear, partly cloudy, fog, rain, snow, storms, golden hour, pink skies, and more • Day and night sky with sun, moon, stars, clouds, dawn and dusk transitions • Growing and wilting colors, soil, sky tint, frame style, transparency • Growth speed, wilt multiplier, and usage check interval • Exempt apps list for calls, messages, navigation, and other essentials • 100% celebration effects: sparkles, butterflies, flowers, bubbles, confetti, spirals, dandelion puffs • Optional progress text, bird names, tree names, custom fonts and colors 🏡 Built for real life Digital Detox Tree runs reliably in the background on Android 8.0 and newer. It is battery-aware, multi-widget, and works fully offline. No timer to start, no session to plan — your tree is always on your home screen, quietly tracking your detox. 🔒 Privacy first • No account, ever • No cloud sync of your usage history • No analytics, no tracking, no ads • Your screen time data stays on your device If digital wellbeing matters to you, this matters too: you can use this app for the rest of your life and never hand a single byte of personal data to anyone. 💚 Free, with optional one-time upgrades Digital Detox Tree is fully usable for free, including 8 baseline tree species, all 134 birds, every weather preset, the full grow and wilt loop, and 2 widgets with up to 10 exempt apps. A one-time Pro upgrade adds extra personalization (transparency, custom frames, sky tints, progress fonts and colors, the full set of 100% celebration effects, locking weather to a specific type) and removes the 2-widget and 10-exempt-app limits. Optional themed tree packs add more species. A small tip jar is available if you would like to support development. No subscriptions. No ads. Ever. 🛡️ Permissions, briefly • Usage Access (required) — to detect which app is in the foreground • Notifications (required) - to keep the usage detection reliable • Battery optimisation exemption (optional) — to keep monitoring reliable on aggressive OEMs • Location (optional) — used only locally for accurate sunrise and sunset timing of the sun and moon 🌿 Plant your first widget Whether you want a digital detox, to break phone addiction, to build better habits, a kinder screen time tracker, a break from social media, or simply a mindful presence on your home screen — Digital Detox Tree is here to grow with you.
