ReCAD Respond

ReCAD Respond turns an Android tablet into the mobile data terminal for an engine, ambulance or other unit at agencies that dispatch with Beacon ReCAD, our computer-aided dispatch system. Set the Android tablet up once with your agency's code and the unit number. The crew signs in with the unit's PIN. CALLS • New dispatches come straight to the Android tablet with their own tone, even when the app is in the background • Call type, address, cross streets, priority, nature and the other units on the call • Add notes to the call for dispatch • NAVIGATE hands the address to Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions STATUS • One-tap status: available, en route, on scene, transport, at hospital, in quarters, out of service • EMERGENCY: hold the button for two seconds to alert dispatch MAP • Your unit, your call and the other units on a live map • Hospitals, weather alerts and radar, first-due areas and hydrants where your agency has them UNITS AND CALL QUEUE • Every unit's status and current call • Open calls in the queue MESSAGES • Message dispatch and other units, with quick replies like 10-4 and EN ROUTE LOCATION • While a unit is signed in, the tablet sends the unit's location to your dispatch center so dispatchers can see where it is, including when the screen is off. A notification shows the whole time ("Sharing E47's location with dispatch"). Signing out stops it. Night mode switches on by itself after dark.
