Septilt Vale

Check ✅ a glaze recipe's chemistry, fit and color, and plan 🗺️ kiln test tiles. Septilt Vale is a glaze chemistry tool 🛠️ for potters. Write a glaze recipe and see 👀 what the kiln will do with it before you mix 🥣 a single batch. Each glaze gets a plain-language 🗣️ reading: surface, predicted color, fit on your clay body, melt, durability and application. Every result comes with the reasons behind it. If a glaze is at risk of crazing, the app 📱 suggests material swaps and shows how the expansion and fit change. READ ANY GLAZE - See 👀 the recipe in parts, percent ％ and batch grams, with extra additions such as copper or cobalt listed apart. - View the unity formula, the Si:Al ratio, expansion, R2O:RO and the flux, stabilizer and glass balance ⚖️. - Compare ⚖️ each oxide against the limit window for your cone. - Set your default cone, atmosphere and clay body once, then change them any time ⏱️. FORMULATE A RECIPE - Pick a target 🎯: one of your saved glazes, a classic archetype or your own numbers 🔢. - Solve for a recipe from the materials you have on your shelf, or include materials you do not own. - Review the match score 🔢, the solved recipe and the target 🎯 against the achieved oxide values. PLAN TEST BLENDS 🗺️ - Mix 🥣 your glazes as a line, a triaxial, a four-corner grid or an addition grid. - Preview every tile by predicted color, fit or surface before you weigh anything out. - Open a mixing sheet with the grams for each tile. KEEP YOUR MATERIALS - Browse a library 📚 of 41 materials with their oxide analysis. - Mark what is on your shelf, and use it when you formulate. - Look up clay bodies next to your materials. Septilt Vale starts with five sample glazes, from cone 04 to cone 10, so you can explore right away. Septilt Vale suits studio potters, ceramics students and anyone who wants to understand a glaze, not just copy one.
