Full description
Mentalium is a voice CBT diary: speak your thought record instead of typing it. A CBT thought diary, thought journal and anxiety tracker in one app, with AI transcription that runs offline on your phone. Developed together with professor of psychotherapy Alexander Erichev, MD, PhD, it is built to make your cognitive behavioral therapy genuinely more effective. The real progress in CBT happens between sessions, when you keep your thought diary regularly. That is the key "homework" of therapy: the more often you work through your automatic thoughts, the faster your thinking shifts and your anxiety eases. The problem is that almost no one keeps a thought log by hand, because typing on a phone is slow and a paper CBT worksheet is never around. So people fill it in from memory a couple of hours before the session, which works about as well as the gym once a month. Mentalium removes the main obstacle. Anxiety does not arrive on schedule, and the thought has to be captured in the moment, while it is still fresh. Tap record and say it out loud: the AI turns your speech into a structured CBT entry. Speaking the thought and reframing it already helps you get through a wave of anxiety more calmly. How the CBT thought record works The app guides you through every step of the CBT thought diary: • Rate your anxiety level before the entry • Describe the situation that triggered anxiety • Identify the automatic thought • Name the emotion and the physical reaction • Formulate a more realistic, calmer thought • Rate your anxiety level after the entry No typing, just talk. In the car, at home, on a walk. Anxiety and mood tracker Mentalium records your mood and anxiety level before and after each entry and shows the dynamics: how many entries you have made, how your anxiety changes over time, and which cognitive distortions come up most often. Progress is visible, and that keeps you from quitting. Why CBT Cognitive behavioral therapy is one of the most researched, evidence-based approaches to anxiety. Its core tool is the thought record, also called a thought journal or thought log: catch the automatic thought that set off the anxiety and replace it with a more realistic one. Mentalium makes that CBT tool convenient enough to use every day. Share your CBT journal with your psychotherapist Send your CBT diary entries to your psychotherapist straight from the app in one tap. The app builds an Excel report for the selected period and emails it. No retelling in session, you go straight to the analysis. Complete privacy Notes about your inner state are personal, so your entire CBT journal is stored only on your device and never sent anywhere. Speech recognition runs right on your phone: on first launch the app downloads an offline model once (~200 MB), and everything is processed locally after that. Your voice recordings never go to third-party servers. Who Mentalium is for • You are doing CBT with a psychotherapist and want to get the most out of therapy • You practice cognitive behavioral therapy on your own • You want a self-help tool for anxiety, stress, worry and panic attacks in the moment • Keeping a thought diary by hand is hard for you, and voice removes that barrier Install Mentalium and keep your CBT thought diary when it works best: in the moment, not a couple of hours before the session. Subscription Start with a 3-day free trial on the monthly plan, or choose the yearly plan, no trial. Prices depend on your country and are shown in the app before you buy. Manage or cancel anytime in Google Play. A one-time ~200 MB AI model download is required at first launch. Disclaimer Mentalium is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, and does not provide medical or psychological advice. If you have any health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

What's new

• Speech recognition is more accurate, every language now has its own model. • Downloading the model no longer breaks when you leave the app. • Long recordings no longer disappear, the transcript runs to the end. • The Next button works while recording is paused, so you can skip a question and come back to it later. • The recognition model has changed and downloads again on first launch, for most languages it is now smaller.
