QuitPorn: Porn Blocker

QuitPorn is a porn blocker you cannot switch off. It blocks porn on your phone and then takes the off switch away from you. Most porn blockers fail the same way. The person who set it up can remove it. Ten seconds in Settings and the block is gone. QuitPorn is built so that cannot happen. You choose how many days the lock runs, and until that time is up nobody can end it early. Not you, and not us if you ask. HOW THE PORN BLOCKER WORKS Buy a lock on quitporn.io and choose the number of days. You get an activation code, type it into the app, and the block starts. From that moment your phone filters porn in every browser and every app. Safe search is forced on Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, even when the site's own setting is switched off. Browsers and apps built to get around filters, such as anonymous browsers and built-in VPN proxies, cannot be used to get past it. When the time is up the lock releases itself. Nothing to cancel, nothing to remember. BLOCK APPS AND WEBSITES TOO Add any website or app to your own block list. Social media, a shopping site, a game, whatever pulls you back in. Anything you add stays blocked until your lock ends. That is the whole point of it. WHY THIS BLOCKER ACTUALLY HOLDS Always-on VPN brings the filter back by itself after a restart. Device admin stops the app being uninstalled while a lock is running. Tamper protection closes the Settings screens that would switch the filter off. The countdown lives on our server, not on your phone, so changing your phone's date does nothing. WHO IT IS FOR People quitting porn for good. People doing a reboot or a streak who want a blocker that holds on day three when willpower does not. Anyone who has installed a porn blocker before and deleted it the same week. ABOUT THE VPN CONNECTION QuitPorn uses Android's VpnService to filter web addresses for every app on the device. This is the only way on Android to filter name lookups system wide without rooting the phone. There is no VPN tunnel endpoint and no server of ours in the path. The filter runs entirely on your phone. It reads the website names your phone asks for, answers no to adult sites and to sites you added yourself, and drops connections to blocked addresses. Everything else goes straight out to the internet untouched. Those website names are checked on the device and thrown away. They are never stored, never sent to us, and never shared with anyone. We cannot see the sites you visit. ABOUT THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE QuitPorn uses Android's Accessibility service for tamper protection. It watches for a fixed list of screens: the VPN settings screen, our own app details and device admin screens, the accessibility settings screen, and any app you added to your block list. When one of those opens it sends you back to the home screen. That is the only action it ever takes. It reads screen content only on the Settings app and the package installer, so it can tell the uninstall screen apart from the VPN screen. Everywhere else it reads only the name of the app in the foreground. Nothing it reads is stored, sent to us, or shared. We never see your screen. The app explains both of these inside the app, on their own screens, and asks you to agree to each one before the permission is requested. WHAT YOU NEED A QuitPorn subscription from quitporn.io. The app is free to download and needs an activation code to do anything. QuitPorn also runs on iPhone, Windows and Mac, and one subscription covers your devices
