Simply open the Aira ASL app and tap a button, and you will be connected instantly to a professional ASL interpreter via remote video, who will work with you to accomplish tasks. The ASL interpreter will use your phone’s camera and microphone to facilitate communication, greater efficiency, and enhanced independence. Since you can access Aira using your own smartphone, you will be empowered to have ASL interpreting at your fingertips for whenever the need arises. Aira ASL is developed using the same trusted and secure technology Aira offers the blind and low-vision community. With this new app, Aira is delivering on-demand video remote interpreting for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community in public spaces, enhancing access where it is limited or nonexistent today and breaking down barriers.
