Passa Bonus — Shop is for shopkeepers who already run the Passa Bonus loyalty programme. It is installed on the shop's own counter phone, and it is not needed by customers. WHAT IT DOES When a customer pays your shop by UPI, your phone shows a payment notification from Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or a similar app. This app reads that one notification, takes the payer's name and the amount, and sends them to Passa so the customer's savings are added automatically. Without it, your customers have to send you a payment screenshot on WhatsApp every single time. With it, they send one screenshot once — after that, their rewards are credited on their own. WHO IT IS FOR You need an existing Passa Bonus shop account. Your shop code and PIN are given to you when your shop joins. There is no sign-up inside the app. WHAT IT READS, AND WHAT IT DOES NOT The app reads notifications only from a fixed list of UPI payment apps. Notifications from every other app on your phone — your messages, your email, anything else — are ignored on the phone itself and are never sent anywhere. That filtering happens on the device, before anything is uploaded. The app asks for no access to your contacts, your location, your photos or your files. STAYING RUNNING The app shows a permanent notification, "Passa is protecting your payments", so that your phone's battery manager does not shut it down and miss a customer's payment. It checks in with our server every 15 minutes so we can tell you if your phone has stopped working. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Switch auto-credit off in your Passa dashboard, or uninstall the app, at any time. Your loyalty programme keeps working the older way, with customers sending receipts.
