1. Ink opens. English draughts on an 8×8 board, twelve men a side, played on the dark squares only. Captures are compulsory, multi-jumps carry on to the end, and a man that reaches the far row is crowned with a red ink stamp. Forty quiet moves each or a threefold repetition ends a match level. 2. Choose an opponent. Novice learns as it goes and grabs what it sees, Club reads four moves ahead, and Master calculates deep and rarely forgives. Take ink and move first, or take paper and watch the table turn round to face you. 3. Pass and play. Two people share one table, with movable men highlighted, target dots for every legal step and a red trail showing the last move made. 4. Sixteen puzzles. Clear the position in one, two or three moves against the Master's sharpest defence. Every setup has been checked by a solver, so a forced line always exists. 5. Match journal and board styles. Count your matches, first finishes, kings crowned and pieces captured, and scroll through every game written down by hand. Play also unlocks five boards: Ink and paper, School slate, Walnut desk, Sea glass and Rosewood. 6. Draughts quiz. Ten questions a round from 23 real facts on the history of the game, each followed by a short note. Haptics, move guides and drifting ink can be switched off in Settings, and the app plays offline, with no ads and no account.
