Full description
Sonamirror shows one device's screen live on another, with sound and remote control. In any direction: TV box to phone, phone to TV, tablet to phone, phone to phone, and with the Windows version also PC and TV both ways. Everything stays in your own network. There is no account, no cloud, no advertising and no analytics. Picture and sound travel encrypted, directly from one device to the other. HOW IT WORKS • Install Sonamirror on both devices. • On the device to be shown: "Start sharing". • On the other device: tap it in the list and press "Allow" there once, or enter the 6-digit code. • "Remember this device": remembered devices stay in the list and connect without a code from then on, until you remove them on either device. WHAT SONAMIRROR DOES • Picture up to 1080p, smooth and with little delay (measured in a home network: about 20 to 80 ms). • Sound of the shown device (what apps play, never the microphone). • Remote control: on a TV box, taps and swipes become arrow keys and OK; a phone or tablet can be operated directly by touch. Control is off until you switch it on. • Wakes the TV from standby (if you allow it). • Starts sharing again after the TV box restarts (Android then asks once on the TV). TRY FOR FREE, BUY ONCE Everything can be used for free; a viewing session ends after 20 minutes and restarts with one press. So you can see how your own apps look before you pay. A one-time purchase removes the limit on all your Android devices with the same Google account. No subscription. Sharing is always free; only the watching device needs the unlock. The Windows version is unlocked separately in the Microsoft Store (without an account a purchase cannot be carried over). WHAT SONAMIRROR CANNOT SHOW • Apps that protect their picture stay black (for example Netflix, menus included), and some apps forbid capturing their sound (for example arte). Sonamirror never works around that. • The first time you share after a restart, Android asks on the shown device: press OK once. Sonamirror never presses it for you. • While someone watches, Android shows a capture symbol. It indicates screen capture, not the microphone. • On a TV box, a film playing on the TV itself may judder while it is mirrored. • A TV has no touch screen: taps and swipes become remote-control keys. • At most 1080p, standard colours (no HDR) and stereo. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED • Screen capture: only while you share; Android asks every time. • Audio capture: only for the sound apps play. The microphone is never used. • Accessibility service (only if you switch on remote control): carries out the keys, taps and swipes a paired device sends. It does not read the screen's content and collects no data. Works on devices with Android 10 or later, including Android TV and Google TV devices. Android TV and Google TV are trademarks of Google LLC.

What's new

New: pair by QR code, enter an address by hand, devices are found even on networks without mDNS, a device list sorted by last connection, clear hints when nothing is found, a TV remote steers the watched device, a new design. Adapts to a weak Wi-Fi, saves battery, keeps pairing keys encrypted. On a TV the Allow question also appears over other apps.
