Full description
Sonasat turns your phone, tablet or Android TV into a screen for your own satellite, cable or terrestrial receiver. It streams live TV, radio and your receiver's recordings over your home network, shows the programme guide and lets you plan recordings, with no account, no advertising and no tracking. What Sonasat does • Live TV and radio from your receiver's channel groups (bouquets), with programme details • Programme guide with now and next, and a search by topic • Play the recordings stored on your receiver and resume where you stopped • Favourites saved locally on your device • Prepare recording drafts and send them as timers to your receiver, only after you allow it; confirmed receiver timers are listed • Keep watching or listening in the background: playback continues when the screen goes off and is controlled and stopped from the notification and the lock screen • Choose a paired Android TV as the playback screen, and let any device be one • Several receiver profiles, for more than one receiver • Touch and TV remote control, twenty languages, and a quick start and answers to common questions that work offline What you need • A receiver running Enigma2 with the OpenWebif web interface switched on. OpenWebif comes with most Enigma2 images; look for it in the receiver's plugins or network settings. • The receiver switched on or in normal standby (not deep standby), connected to the same home network as your Android device, by cable or Wi-Fi. • Your receiver's own reception. Sonasat supplies no channels, subscriptions or keys; it shows what your receiver receives and is allowed to stream. • If you protected OpenWebif with a user name and password, those credentials. They stay on your device. Set up in a minute 1. Open Sonasat. On first start it opens the receiver setup; later you find it under More, Settings. 2. Sonasat searches your home network and lists the receivers that answer. Tap yours, or type its IP address, which your receiver shows in its network settings. 3. Tap Save and test. 4. Tap Open channels, then pick TV or Radio, a channel group and a channel. The usual ports (80 for the web interface, 8001 for streams) work for most receivers; other ports and passwords are under Advanced. Free, private and complete Sonasat 1.1 is free and complete: no purchase, no subscription, no advertising, no account, and no feature is locked. Receiver settings, favourites and drafts stay on your device; nothing is sent to us. A single optional one-time purchase is planned for a later version, for what a receiver cannot do on its own: offline downloads and timeshift. It will add, never take away; what is free today stays free. Good to know Live pause uses a limited buffer, not timeshift; how long depends on the device, the connection and the receiver. Your receiver must be reachable on your home network; this version has no access from outside it and no offline downloads. NAS, IPTV, online radio and a watch app are not part of 1.1. Use only receivers and content you are authorised to access. Sonasat does not replace a television subscription or your receiver's reception and decryption. What's new

Live TV starts faster and runs more smoothly: Sonasat quietly builds a reserve against short network gaps. A brief interruption now keeps the picture and shows only a small indicator instead of a panel; a weak connection is named once. Receiver profiles can be deleted, and a saved channel list says clearly whether it is refreshing or the receiver is unreachable.
