Purin-Kompass: Gout Diary

Please note: the app interface and the food database are in German only. If you do not read German, this app will not be useful to you. Your doctor said "no more than 500 mg of uric acid per day" — and then you stand in front of the fridge with no idea what that means for dinner. Purin-Kompass turns 7,140 foods into exactly that number: purines and uric acid per portion, looked up and logged in 3 taps. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • A daily AND a weekly budget: gout plays out over weeks, so one heavy meal is fine if the week holds. The app tracks both budgets side by side (500 mg/day and 3,000 mg/week on a low-purine diet; 300 and 2,000 mg on a strict one). • Values in mg of uric acid — the number from your doctor's advice, not a raw purine figure. The conversion factor (2.4, or 3.0) can be switched, and both values are always shown together. • Flare diary with a 48-hour look-back: after every logged gout attack the app shows what was on your plate during the 48 hours before it, which makes personal patterns visible. • Lab values: record serum uric acid in mg/dl or µmol/l and follow it as a curve against your target range. THE FOOD DATABASE 7,140 foods from the German Federal Food Code (Bundeslebensmittelschlüssel 4.0, Max Rubner-Institut), with purine values based on the USDA/ODS-NIH Purine Database Release 2.0 (2025). Every value carries its unit and reference — confusing purines with uric acid is the most common error in printed purine tables. Foods without a reliable measurement are labelled "unknown" and never silently counted as zero. EVERYDAY USE • Logging in 3 taps, favourites and your own recipes built from ingredients • Drinks in millilitres, portion suggestions per food • Water counter, fructose notes, a note on beer (including alcohol-free) • Medication reminder • PDF report for your doctor's appointment, JSON export of your entries PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Fully offline. No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no ads. Every entry stays on your device — there is no server it could go to. FREE AND PRO For the first 7 days after installation everything is unlocked, with no payment details required; this starter week simply ends on its own. After that, searching foods, logging entries, the daily budget and the traffic-light rating stay free forever. Purin-Kompass Pro adds the weekly budget and the history chart, the flare diary, lab values, your own recipes and favourites, the PDF doctor's report and JSON export, factor switching, calories and dark mode. EUR 2.99 per month or EUR 24.99 per year, each with 7 days free — or EUR 49.99 once, with no subscription at all. Subscriptions run through Google Play and can be cancelled there at any time. IMPORTANT Purin-Kompass is not a medical device. It records what you eat and displays the connections — it does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment and does not replace medical advice.
