Kurbl: Indoor Cycling

Kurbl connects to your smart trainer or turbo trainer over Bluetooth and turns your wattage into a road you ride: push harder and it climbs, ease off and it drops. What your legs feel, you see on the screen. Kurbl reads the common Bluetooth standards (Cycling Power, FTMS, heart rate, cadence and speed) and combines several devices at once, say a trainer with a separate heart rate strap. Sensors that only speak ANT+ do not connect. No sensor on hand? Enter your watts by hand and ride anyway. Virtual shifting on screen gives even a single-gear trainer thirteen steps, no shifter on the bike needed, on every trainer that takes a resistance command. Not sure how strong you actually are? The ramp test measures it in one ride instead of asking you to guess. Your own roads start from a feeling, not a number: grade in words from "steep down" to "steep", length by a second wheel. Bring several GPX files together as one continuous road. Free: connecting to all your devices, riding with no clock on it, holding a fixed watt or resistance target, the ramp test, and one road of your own, drawn or read from a GPX file, saved and ridden. A GPX file can always be opened and looked at first, profile, length and elevation, before you decide whether it becomes your one free road. Three of the fourteen sessions stay free too, all from the library, not from a course, so you see the road made from your own power curve before you decide. Kurbl+ unlocks the rest: as many roads as you like, the other eleven sessions, the full courses, writing your own sessions, laying watt and cadence targets on a road of your own, and your ride history. Kurbl+ is a one-time purchase, no subscription, no follow-up costs. Kurbl is for anyone who rides for the fun of it, not for a training camp. Rides earn coins and levels, which unlock twelve cosmetic items for your rider in the shop: five poses and seven colours for bike and helmet. Coins come only from riding, never from money. Kurbl needs no account and runs without a server of ours. Your rides, roads and sessions live on your device, and nothing is sent to us.
