nuncaL is a deliberately lean home-screen widget for your tasks and calendar reminders. It shows your next upcoming and overdue entries right on your home screen and lets you add new ones with a single tap — without opening a heavyweight calendar app. It works entirely offline. The app has no internet permission, sends no data, contains no ads and no tracking. In the note you can keep Markdown checklists (“- [ ] task”); subtasks can be ticked directly and the progress (e.g. 2/5) appears in the list and the widget. YOUR CALENDAR, YOUR CHOICE nuncaL uses your device’s calendars. You decide where new entries are saved: • a purely local on-device calendar, or • a synced calendar — for example your Google account or Nextcloud/CalDAV via a sync app such as DAVx5. Your reminders stay where you want them and sync through your existing calendar account if you wish. nuncaL itself runs no server. PRIVACY nuncaL works fully offline. The app has NO internet permission, transfers no data whatsoever, and contains no advertising and no tracking. Everything stays on your device or in the calendar you chose yourself. PERMISSIONS • Read and write calendar — core function: show and edit entries • Post notifications — reminder at the due time • Exact alarms and start on boot — so reminders fire precisely and survive a device restart NOTES • A dedicated calendar as the target is recommended for the notifications. • Recurring events are shown; editing, ticking off and “+24 h” currently affect the whole series. • “Done” is stored as a short text marker in the entry’s note so the status syncs reliably with CalDAV/Nextcloud.
