ZaORDER – Waiter Ordering

ZaORDER is the ordering app for waiters and captains in restaurants that use ZaPOS. Staff take orders at the table on an Android tablet or phone and send them to the kitchen, using the same menu, tables and settings as the restaurant's ZaPOS tills. ZaORDER takes orders only. It never takes payment: the bill is settled at the restaurant's ZaPOS till. A ZAPOS BUSINESS ACCOUNT IS REQUIRED ZaORDER is a tool for restaurant staff, not a consumer app. It works only with an active ZaPOS business account that has ZaOrder enabled and at least one ZaOrder seat set up in ZaPOS Back Office. A manager signs the device in with the business's ZaPOS email and password and chooses a seat for it. Each waiter then identifies with their own staff PIN, so every order is recorded against the right person. TABLES AND FLOOR • See the restaurant's floor with each table's state: free, occupied, reserved or bill requested. • Occupied tables show the number of items, the covers and how long the table has been open. • Move an order to another table, or put it on hold. THE FULL MENU • Browse the menu by section and category, or search it. • Add dishes with sizes, extras and combo choices, a quantity and a note for the kitchen. • Dishes that cannot be sold right now are marked as unavailable. • Record the covers, the order type and a note for the whole table, and link an existing customer from the restaurant's customer list. SEND TO THE KITCHEN • Send new items to the kitchen with one tap, and add more to the same order later. • Pace a table in courses and fire each course when the table is ready. • Void an item already sent to the kitchen, with a manager's PIN when the waiter is not authorised to do it alone. • Ask for a kitchen ticket or a customer bill to be printed on the printers the restaurant has set up in ZaPOS. • What each staff member can do follows the role set for them in ZaPOS Back Office. SYNC STATUS AND CONNECTION DROPS • The header shows whether orders have reached the ZaPOS server. • If the connection drops, orders already taken stay on the device and are sent automatically when it returns. An order counts as sent only after the server confirms it. • Settings lists what is still waiting to send and anything that could not be sent, with a button to try again. SHARED TABLETS • Lock the tablet to hand it to the next waiter; the business and the seat stay signed in. • The app locks itself after a few minutes without use. ENGLISH AND ARABIC • Full English and Arabic interface, with a right-to-left layout in Arabic. • The language is saved with the seat, so a tablet keeps its team's language. PRIVACY • No ads, no analytics and no tracking. • Connects to the ZaPOS service over encrypted HTTPS connections. • Asks for no access to location, contacts, camera, microphone or device files. • Orders and tables belong to the restaurant's own ZaPOS account.
