Full description
Seven good reasons to push open the shop doors on Clock Street: 1. You move the hands yourself. Every level hands you a ticket with a time on it and a squishy clay clock that shows something else. Put a finger anywhere near the dial and drag the long hand round. The short hand follows through a little pair of gears you can watch turning between the hands, exactly like a real clock. Go past twelve and the hour ticks on; wind backwards and it goes back. Press the big SET button when it looks right. 2. Five shops, sixty clocks, one step at a time. - Hour Bakery: o'clock and half past, shown as digits. - Quarter Tailor: quarter past and quarter to, in words and digits. - Five-Minute Florist: any five-minute time, written only in words ("twenty-five to four"). - Mirror Barber: a back-to-front clock face where the hands turn the "wrong" way. - Night Owl Station: 24-hour times like 18:40 on an ordinary dial, plus a sun and moon switch you set too. The last few clocks here go right down to the single minute. Each shop has twelve clocks, and stars from earlier shops open the doors further along the street. 3. Mistakes are part of the fun. There is no timer and no game over. A wrong answer gives the clock a little wobble and a friendly note on the ticket, such as "The long hand is right. Now check the short hand." After two tries, the spot the long hand should point at starts to glow. Stars reward getting it on the first go: three for the first try, two for the second, one after that. 4. Getting it right feels like a small party. A clay cuckoo pops out of the clock, crumbs of confetti fly, the hands do a happy wiggle, and the stars pop onto the card one by one, each a note higher than the last. 5. A new clock every day. The Daily Clock picks one time for each day from the shops you have opened. Solve it to grow your streak flame, and follow the week on a seven-day strip. Once today's clock is set, it waits for tomorrow instead of letting you replay it. 6. Fifteen stickers to collect. Birds, gears, a cake, a sleepy moon, a night owl and more, all modelled in soft pastel clay. They arrive as your stars add up and on every third day of a daily streak, then fly into your sticker drawer. Locked ones wait as grey clay outlines with a note saying what unlocks them. 7. It is gentle to play. The very first clock shows a clay finger dragging the hand around once, with one short caption, so a new player sees what to do straight away. Settings let you switch sound and vibration off, and Reduce motion turns off the shaking, the big bursts and the drifting wallpaper while keeping the ticks and chimes. Tockly Hours is made for children from about six and for anyone of any age who wants to practise reading an analog clock at their own pace.
