Belay: Start Anything

You already know what you should be doing. That is not the problem. The problem is that it is one enormous thing, and no part of it looks small enough to pick up right now. Belay breaks it down. Tell it what you are facing — finish the thesis, do the tax return, find a new flat. Belay turns it into three to five small steps, and the first one is always something you can do immediately: no preparation, no decisions, nobody else involved. Just the thing that starts it. The Next Step, Not The Pile Belay shows you one step at a time. The rest are there, dimmed, so you can see the shape of the thing without carrying all of it. Finish one and the next arrives. That is the whole interaction. Still too big? Break that step down again. Stuck on it? Say what is in the way — it is vague, there is no time, there is no energy, you do not know where to start — and get one concrete thing to do about that specific problem. A Day That Fits Ask Belay to plan your day and it lays your remaining steps into the gaps around your real calendar, with room to breathe between them. Add the plan to your calendar if you want it there. Pick one step and say when you will do it, and Belay will remind you at that time, in your own words. What Belay Will Not Do No streaks. No points. Nothing that punishes you for a day you missed, and nothing that makes coming back cost more than staying away. If you disappear for a week, Belay says nothing about it when you return. There are no countdowns and no red numbers. A time is a time, not a deadline you can fail. Badges are the one exception, and they keep this promise rather than break it: earn one for something you actually did, and it is yours for good. Nothing to protect, nothing a missed day can take back. Your State, Not Your Score Connect Health Connect and Belay reads sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, workouts and steps to show how your body is doing today, alongside what you have actually finished. Because how well you can start is not a character trait — it changes with how you slept. Your health readings stay on your phone. The one exception is off unless you allow it: a single word noting your sleep was short, so the coach can suggest lighter steps. Never a number, never used for advertising. Free, And What Pro Adds The free plan gives you two active goal, three AI breakdowns a week, one "I'm stuck" a week, and seven days of history. Adding and editing steps by hand is unlimited — you are never left unable to work. Belay Pro removes the limits and adds the coach's own ordering of your day, writing your plan into your calendar, backup and syncing across your devices, and your full history. The yearly plan starts with seven days free. A monthly plan is available without a trial. Dark by default. Twelve languages. Everything you write can be exported, on either plan, whenever you want it. An Account Is Required Belay asks you to sign in during onboarding, with Google, an email address and a password, or the sign-in your device offers. The account is what keeps your work when a phone is lost, and what carries the free plan's weekly allowance across a reinstall. You can delete it, and everything in it, from Settings at any time. Subscription Details Belay Pro is offered as a yearly auto-renewing subscription, which begins with a 7-day free trial, or as a monthly auto-renewing subscription, which does not include a trial. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in Google Play's subscription settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
