Tastale: Calorie & Macro Diary

Tastale is a food and macro diary for logging what you eat. Add a meal with a photo, a barcode or a search, and see your calories, protein, fat and carbs next to your daily goals. FOUR WAYS TO LOG • Photo recognition: take a photo of your plate and AI suggests the foods and their approximate grams. You pick the right candidate and confirm or adjust the portion. • Search: 220 foods and ingredients and 50 recipes. • Barcode: scan a packaged product and get its nutrition values from Open Food Facts. Products you add stay in your list. • Manual entry: add your own food; if you leave calories empty, they're computed from the macros. TODAY AND STATS • A calorie ring with protein, fat, carbs, fiber and sugar next to your goals. • Entries by meal, photos on entries, and a streak counter. • Your meals for the last 14 days, day by day. • Weekly chart: calories for the last seven days, your daily average, protein and fat versus last week, and the three things you ate most. GOALS AND IDEAS • Daily calorie and macro goals suggested for your weight and aim (build muscle, lose weight or maintain); set your own if you prefer. • Ideas: picks from 50 recipes based on your remaining calories and macros, the meal and the ingredients you like. Runs on your device and is free. • Dislikes deck: swipe ingredient cards to mark what you don't like, and ideas are filtered accordingly. REMINDERS Meal reminders for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a short weekly summary on Sunday evening. Notifications are set up on your device and can be turned off any time. PHOTO RECOGNITION AND CREDITS • One recognition a day is free, and you get one free credit every week. • For more, you can watch a short rewarded ad to earn a credit. You start the ad yourself, and the number of ads per day is limited. • If a recognition fails or no food is found in the photo, your use is returned. • With the optional Tastale Plus subscription you recognize photos without spending credits or watching ads, within the daily limit. There are no ads in the app other than rewarded ads. The diary, search, barcode, ideas and stats are free. WORKS OFFLINE Your diary opens without a connection and you can keep logging; changes sync to your account when you're back online. ACCOUNT AND PRIVACY • Sign in with your Google account or a one-time code sent to your email; no passwords are stored. • A photo is sent for recognition (DeepSeek in China, with Google Gemini in the USA as fallback) only after you give explicit consent in the app and tap "Recognize with AI", without your identity; we don't keep it.
