Full description
CompassPro turns your phone's magnetic sensor into a compass. - Live heading in degrees, with the direction written out (north, north-east, east and so on). - A clear dial with ticks every 5 degrees and labels every 45 degrees (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW). - An accuracy indicator (high, medium or low) that tells you when to recalibrate, with a simple figure-eight prompt. - Optional true north: allow one approximate location check and bearings show true north as well as magnetic; say no and bearings stay magnetic. - Bearing detail: declination, magnetic field strength, an interference check and the back bearing. - Sight: aim through the camera to line up a bearing, then save it with a photo. - Log: every saved bearing, with its photo, time and direction. Share, copy or delete any entry, with undo. - Degrees or mils, a photo stamp you can turn on, and a light, dark or system theme. Good to know - The compass points to magnetic north by default. True north uses one approximate location check to work out the local difference (declination); your position is never stored, logged or shared. - Metal objects, magnets, magnetic phone cases and electronics nearby can disturb the reading. If the heading looks wrong, move away from them and move your phone in a figure-eight to recalibrate the sensor. - Hold the phone flat for the steadiest reading. - Your phone needs a magnetic sensor (magnetometer). The compass works without an internet connection, and your saved bearings and photos stay on your device. - CompassPro is a general-purpose compass. Do not rely on it as your only means of navigation.

What's new

CompassPro has been rebuilt. - True north is now available: allow one approximate location check and bearings show true north; magnetic stays the default. - A live accuracy indicator (high, medium, low) tells you when to recalibrate. - Sight and Log now work end to end: capture a bearing with a photo, then share, copy or delete it from your history. - New bearing detail screen with declination and back bearing. - Degrees or mils, and a light, dark or system theme.
