Full description
Turn your phone into a heart rate monitor. Place a fingertip on the rear camera and see your pulse in about 15 seconds. No smartwatch, no account, no internet connection needed. [How the Measurement Works] Your fingertip becomes the sensor. The flash shines into your finger, and blood absorbs far more of that light than the skin and tissue around it. Every heartbeat pushes a fresh pulse of blood into your fingertip, so the camera image darkens very slightly with each beat and brightens again as the pulse passes. The app reads the average brightness of about 30 frames every second, and the rise and fall of those values traces your pulse wave. How often that wave repeats is your BPM. This optical method is called photoplethysmography (PPG), the same principle behind the sensor lights on the back of a smartwatch. Every reading comes with a confidence score, so you always know how much to trust the number. [Measure in 15 Seconds] - Place your fingertip over the rear camera - The flash turns on and measuring starts automatically - Watch the live pulse waveform while it reads - Works on Android phones with a rear camera and flash [Confidence You Can See] - Peak detection and frequency analysis cross-check every reading - Low-confidence results are flagged, never hidden - Coaching tips tell you what to adjust: finger coverage, pressure or movement - Tag each reading as At rest, After workout or Other A camera reading is only as good as the signal behind it. This pulse checker shows the confidence behind each result and tells you when it is worth measuring again. [Personal Heart Rate Zones] - Zones built from your age and biological sex - Resting, Fat Burn, Cardio and Peak with clear color coding - Fox and Gulati formulas for maximum heart rate - See where each reading lands on the zone bar [Trends and Statistics] - 7-day and 30-day resting averages - Weekly trend, so you see direction and not just today - Resting average by time of day: morning, afternoon, evening, night - Average by tag over the last 30 days - Daily reminder at a time you choose [Home Screen Widget] - Last BPM, zone and time at a glance - One tap to start a new measurement [Your Data Stays Yours] - Readings are stored on your device, not on a server - No sign-up and no cloud account - Export and import your history as CSV - Save a PDF summary or share a result card image [Guided Breathing] - 4-7-8 breathing for winding down - Box breathing for focus - Relaxation breathing for beginners - Visual guide with a cycle counter and session log [BMI Calculator] - Body Mass Index with WHO classification - Metric and Imperial units [Health Reference] - Resting heart rate tables by age and sex - Maximum heart rate charts - What moves your heart rate: exercise, caffeine, sleep, temperature - Evidence-based guidance on when to talk to a professional [Comfortable to Use] - Dark and light themes - Senior mode for slightly larger text - Quiet, uncluttered layout [Tips for a Steady Reading] - Cover both the lens and the flash with your fingertip - Rest your hand on a table and keep it still - Relax your finger, because pressing hard blocks blood flow - Measure at the same time each day for a meaningful resting trend [Who It Is For] - Runners and gym-goers checking recovery after a session or between sets - Walkers and cyclists who want a quick pulse check without a chest strap - Anyone building a resting heart rate baseline over weeks and months - People who do not own a smartwatch or fitness band and do not want one [Important Notice] This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It measures heart rate only and does not measure blood oxygen or stress. Readings are for personal wellness reference and can vary with your device, skin tone, lighting and movement. For any health concern, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
