Full description
Check your heart rate in 15 seconds using nothing but your phone's camera. It's free, take as many readings as you like, and you don't need a watch or any extra gear. Heart beating fast, pounding or fluttering, and you want a heart rate right now? Fingertip on the camera, hold still, and there's your heartbeat. YOUR RESULT COMES FIRST No account. No sign-up. No email. Ads keep this free, but you'll never sit through one to get your heart rate. If you're checking at 2am because something feels wrong, it should be the first thing you see. Not the third. HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEARTBEAT Rest a fingertip over the rear camera and keep still. As blood moves through your finger the color shifts a tiny amount, and the camera reads it. That's photoplethysmography, the same trick a smartwatch sensor uses. Your heart rate turns up 15 seconds later, in beats per minute (BPM). If the signal's too weak to be accurate, the app says so instead of making a number up. WHEN YOUR HEARTBEAT FEELS IRREGULAR A racing pulse at night. A hard thump on the stairs. A beat that skipped, or fluttered. They're gone before you can describe them. So take a reading the second it happens and tag how you were feeling. Your trace shows how evenly the beats landed. But an uneven trace is just as often a finger that moved, and this app won't tell you which. That one's for your doctor, and now you've got something to show them. SEE EVERY BEAT Your heart wave gets saved with every reading. It's the trace behind your heart rate. Tap it and the app explains what it can tell you and what it can't. It isn't an ECG and it diagnoses nothing. It draws blood flow at your fingertip, not electrical activity. And you never pay to see it. WHAT YOU GET ★ A free, accurate heart rate monitor, unlimited recordings ★ A pulse checker, heartbeat tracker and heart monitor in one ★ Beats per minute in 15 seconds, offline ★ Your whole history charted: day, week, month, year ★ Your usual resting heart rate, so you know what's normal for you ★ A VO2 max estimate and training zones ★ 30 context labels: resting, after exercise, just woke up ★ Breathing exercises, pulse taken before and after ★ Health Connect, so readings reach your other apps ★ Export or share all of it as a CSV file ★ A daily reminder ★ Pick the camera lens, turn the flash off if it warms up ★ Adjustable sensitivity for cold hands WHAT'S A NORMAL RESTING HEART RATE? For adults the Mayo Clinic puts it at 60 to 100 beats per minute. It shifts with age, and a normal heart rate for women sits a little above a man's. Activity, fitness, caffeine and mood move it around too, which is why one reading tells you far less than a pattern does. That's what the chart is for. See your doctor if your resting heart rate stays high, above 100, or drops below 60 when you're not an athlete. TRAINING ZONES Your target heart rate, worked out from your maximum, Fitbit style, saved every time. Rest is up to 50% of max. Fat burn, 50 to 70%. Cardio, 70 to 85%, where most training sits. Peak, above 85%. IT WORKS ON YOUR PHONE Any Android with a rear camera and flash. Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Motorola, OnePlus, Pixel, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Huawei. No smartwatch, no band, no strap. Your phone's already in your hand. Install this free heart rate monitor, finger on the camera, and take a look. PAY ONCE. NOT EVERY WEEK. Every measurement is free, and there's no limit, ever. Premium is one small payment that gets rid of the ads for good. No subscription, no renewals, nothing to cancel. It follows your Google account to your next phone. Most heart rate apps just bill you weekly instead. IMPORTANT ★ A wellness app. It isn't a medical device and don't use it as one. ★ It doesn't diagnose, treat or cure anything, and it isn't an ECG. ★ If you have a condition, or you're worried, always talk to your doctor. ★ On some phones the flash gets warm. Turn it off in Settings.
