Settings and selected apps stay on the device. For Premium device licenses, the app sends a pseudonymous device ID to our license server in Germany, and after a purchase the Google Play purchase receipt. It detects which app or system window comes to the front and returns the user to the permitted application, blocks the Home, Back and Recents keys and, if enabled, closes the power menu. To recognise system windows such as the power menu, it looks at their titles and button labels when they open.
