ArterialPulse turns a phone into a defensible before/after travel-time study tool for arterial corridors. Built by traffic engineers, for traffic engineers. WHAT IT DOES Pick a corridor, tap START, drive. ArterialPulse records GPS, detects each signal automatically as you pass it, and computes per-segment metrics in real time. Everything syncs to your private engineering portal, which generates client-ready reports (PDF, Excel and CSV) with industry-standard methodology built in. ON THE PHONE • One big START button and a driver-glance header. The driver never takes eyes off traffic. • Automatic signal detection on configured corridors. • Auto-detects the turnaround and starts the return-direction run automatically. • Arterial Configuration: map a new corridor and mark its signals in a single drive. • Free Run: just drive, and mark signals later in the portal. • Offline-first local database. LOCATION AND PRIVACY ArterialPulse collects precise location, including in the background, but only while a recording session is running. You start a session by tapping START and end it by tapping STOP DATA COLLECTION. Location collection begins and ends with the session and never runs outside one. Background access is what makes the study possible: a field engineer is driving in traffic and cannot keep the app in the foreground or the screen unlocked for the length of a corridor. While a run is recording, Android shows a persistent "ArterialPulse — recording" notification for the entire session, so it is always visible that collection is in progress. Your data goes only to your organization's private portal, never to advertisers, data brokers or third-party analytics. The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
