RakeScan

Scan a barcode, get the answer in a second: BUY, REJECT, or BORDERLINE — with the market data and the why. RakeScan is a book scouting app built for people who flip books: thrift store hunters, library sale regulars, estate sale diggers and full-time resellers. Scanning and verdicts are free. THE VERDICT, NOT JUST NUMBERS • Instant decision on every scan, driven by live sales rank, buy box and used price ladders • A “WHY” trace on every verdict — see exactly which trigger fired • Profit triggers you control: minimum profit, price drops, rank ceiling, and a rank-tier table for fine-grained rules • Full market view: used & new offer ladders, FBA/FBM split REJECTED? STILL GET PAID Most scanners stop at “no.” RakeScan checks every reject against BookToCash — a buyback service that has bought 100,000+ books since 2019 — and shows an instant cash offer with free shipping when there is one. Build a sell cart as you scan and ship it all in one box. NEVER MISS A BOOK SALE (PRO) The Sale Finder maps real sourcing opportunities near you: • Library book sales (dates, hours, bag-sale days) • Estate sales and online estate auctions • Government & library surplus auctions — whole book lots • Garage sales straight from city permit records • Thrift stores, with book-richness hints Filter by distance, date or category, see how far each sale is, add sales to your calendar with a day-before reminder, and let “Plan my day” order your stops. SCAN WHOLE SHELVES AT ONCE (PRO) Point the camera at a shelf and Shelf Scan reads the spines, matches them against real buyback demand, and hands you a pull list — built for library sale tables and estate sale walls where scanning one by one is too slow. BUILT FOR THE FIELD • Works offline in dead zones — scans queue and resolve when you're back • Bluetooth/USB barcode scanner support • Sound + vibration verdicts so you never look at the screen • Dark, glare-friendly interface with big one-hand targets • Bulk check (Pro): paste a list of ISBNs, triage them in one shot WHAT IS FREE, WHAT IS PRO Free, with no ads: scanning, verdicts and the WHY trace, profit triggers, the full market view, scan history, and selling your rejects to BookToCash. RakeScan Pro adds the power tools: Sale Finder with Plan my day, Shelf Scan, bulk ISBN checks. Pro tools open for accounts with a Pro plan. RakeScan is built by BookToCash — when we want to buy your rejects, that's part of the business model, in the open. Questions or ideas? [email protected] — a human answers.
