Full description
Polkaboo is a dot art puzzle game. Press and hold on an everyday object, and a polka dot grows under your finger. Lift to place it. But an eye is watching, and any dot that grows in its light pops. The eye shines on one spot at a time. Right before it moves, it glances at its next spot. That's your cue to let go. A faint circle shows the largest size your dot can reach where it is, and sliding away cancels. Each pop costs a life, and you get three per run. Later levels bring more eyes and shorter warnings. The puzzle is in the fit. A dot snug against one neighbor scores double, and against two at once, triple. Reach the goal to finish the object, or keep going for bonus points. Then the object fades and leaves only your dots, a small piece of dot art. The likeness score tells you how well they draw the shape. • 100 everyday objects in 5 chapters. Finish a chapter to open the next. • 120 color combinations from Sanzo Wada's A Dictionary of Color Combinations (1933–34). 30 are open at the start, and you collect the other 90 by playing. Recolor any finished piece. • Your album keeps every finished piece, 30 achievements and your leaderboard places together. • Share a piece as a picture, or as a short timelapse video of your dots growing. • Challenge a friend with a link: same object, same colors. They can play it in the browser without installing. • One object of the day for everyone, with a daily streak and its own leaderboard. • Zen mode has no eye and no lives, for a slow, relaxing game. • Dot your name, or draw your own shape and cover it. • Post your pieces to the community gallery, vote between two takes on the same object, and see the ranking for each object. • Invite a friend, and you both get a gift palette. • Achievements, leaderboards and cloud save with Google Play Games. • 10 languages: English, Türkçe, 中文, العربية, Español, Português, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, 한국어. Polkaboo is free. There are no banner ads, and no ad interrupts your game. An ad plays only when you choose one: to open a palette sooner (up to 3 a day), or for one extra life in a run. The object of the day has no extra life. The optional Supporter pack opens every palette of volume 1 and gives you the extra life without an ad. Other optional packs add more palettes, 20 kitchen objects and dot styles. Nothing you buy changes the eye or the score. High-contrast palettes, reduced effects and a finger magnifier are built in. Polkaboo plays offline. Only the community, challenges and Play Games need a connection. Polkaboo is dot art you play. You don't connect the dots here, you grow them, and every finished object becomes a small polka dot artwork in colors from a 1930s color dictionary. If you like art puzzle games, relaxing puzzles you can play offline, or simply polka dots, start with your first object. Made by Pluto.Studio, a small independent studio.
