Full description
PerliMail is a mail client that talks to your own mail host, directly. IMAP and SMTP, phone to server, with no Perlicom service in the path and no third party holding a copy of your mail. ADDING A MAILBOX • Type your address and password, and PerliMail works out the servers for you — the Thunderbird autoconfig database, the provider's own autoconfig, and DNS lookups • It shows what it found in plain language, ranked, and tests the connection before it saves anything • Or fill in IMAP and SMTP by hand, with full control of host, port and encryption • Works with any provider that offers IMAP with a password or an app password — your own domain, work mail, iCloud, Yahoo, GMX, Fastmail and many more. For Gmail, turn on 2-Step Verification and create an app password. • Accounts that only allow Microsoft's own sign-in (most Outlook.com and Hotmail mailboxes) cannot be added in this version • Add as many mailboxes as you like READING AND WRITING • The on-device copy draws instantly and the network catches up behind it — no spinner-first screens • Full-text search across the mail mirrored on the device, with no signal needed • Compose, reply, forward, attachments, drafts, and a signature per mailbox • An outbox, so a message written with no signal goes out when there is one • Schedule a message for later, and snooze one out of the way until you want it back • Remote images are held back until you ask for them, because loading one tells the sender you opened the message • Sign-in codes in new mail can pop up on a small card with a copy button KEEPING THE MAILBOX CLEAN • Rules that file, flag or forward mail as it arrives • Blocked senders, trusted senders and VIPs • A junk filter with sender, domain and phrase rules, plus shape heuristics that catch campaigns no block list keeps up with • Tags, an address book built from your own mail, and one screen for every attachment you have saved NEW MAIL • A background check with a notification per mailbox • Android asks you to allow notifications. Refusing does not break anything — mail simply arrives quietly. WHERE YOUR MAIL IS KEPT Your mailbox is mirrored into a database on the device, which is what makes it fast and usable offline. Passwords go into the Android Keystore — never into that database and never into ordinary app settings. None of your mail is sent to Perlicom. YOUR PERLI ACCOUNT, AND OPTIONAL SYNC You sign in to PerliMail with your Google account to start. This sign-in does not connect a Gmail mailbox. Sync between your devices is a separate choice. It syncs mailbox settings, rules, signatures, blocked and trusted senders, VIPs, tags, contacts and snoozes, and your mailbox passwords unless you switch that off. Message bodies and subjects are never synced. Everything is end-to-end encrypted with a master password that never leaves the device, so nobody at Perlicom can read any of it, and nobody at Perlicom can recover it for you either. It is off until you ask for it, and everything above works without it. FREE AND PRO PerliMail is free, with every mail feature included. The free version shows a small banner in Mail settings and, now and then, a full-screen ad after you send a message — never in your inbox, never inside a message and never while you are writing. In the EU, EEA and UK you choose between accepting Google's ad consent message or going Pro. PerliMail Pro is a one-time purchase that removes all ads. Nothing to renew. PRIVACY Your mail, contacts and passwords are never shared with advertisers. Feature-usage counting is opt-in, off by default and stays on your device. What's new

First release. A mail client that talks to your own mail host — IMAP and SMTP, phone to server, with no Perlicom service in the path. Type your address and password (or app password) and it works out the servers for you. Your mailbox is mirrored on the device, so it draws instantly and searches with no signal. Rules, junk filtering, blocked and trusted senders, an outbox, scheduled send and snooze. Optional end-to-end encrypted sync. Free with ads; PerliMail Pro removes them.
