PerliFile

PerliFile is a file manager and an archive handler in one app. Browse every folder on your phone and your SD card, and open zip, 7z, rar, tar, gz, bz2, xz, zstd and the rest as if they were folders — extract what you want, or select anything and compress it in two taps. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours. The app works on the files on your device. It sends us no analytics, no crash reports and no usage data. Apart from its own update check, the only thing it contacts is Google AdMob, for the ads. Settings has a button that takes you straight to Android's "Open by default" page. ON DESKTOP TOO The same app runs on Linux, with tabs, a dual-pane view, drag and drop and keyboard shortcuts — and it can be your desktop's default file manager and archive handler there as well. ADVERTS • A Google AdMob banner on the Places, Recent, Search and Settings screens, and now and then a full-screen ad after an archive has been extracted or created, pay for the free app. No ad is ever placed in the file browser or over a copy, move or delete. Ads are served by Google AdMob, with your consent where the law requires it. ABOUT PERMISSIONS A file manager needs to see the whole disk, which on Android is the "All files access" switch.
