Moverics

Moverics is a professional clinical gait analysis platform for the objective assessment of fall risk in older adults. Developed by CSIC (Spanish National Research Council), it is designed for healthcare professionals — physicians, physiotherapists, geriatricians, nurses and clinical researchers — who need to quantify the gait quality of their patients quickly, objectively and reproducibly. HOW IT WORKS The patient performs a short gait test (10 to 60 seconds) while wearing the proprietary MVRS inertial sensor. The App connects via Bluetooth to the sensor, captures the inertial signals and uploads them to the CSIC backend, where validated biomechanical algorithms compute more than 15 gait parameters. Within seconds you receive the clinical report on your phone. KEY PARAMETERS COMPUTED • Gait velocity • Stride length and gait cycle duration • Cadence • Cycle phases (stance and swing) • Double support and asymmetry (with two sensors) • Foot lateral excursion • Foot pitch at heel-strike and toe-off • Ankle range of motion (ROM pitch) • Step trajectory • Fall risk index (0–100 scale) with traffic-light indicator KEY FEATURES • Simplified clinical mode with step-by-step guided flow • Full engineering mode for research and advanced sensor configuration • Patient management with complete evaluation history • Functional assessments and geriatric scales (Fried Frailty, SPPB, TUG, 4-meter walk, hand grip strength, fear of falling, etc.) • Single or dual-sensor evaluation (dual improves asymmetry and double-support detection, and identifies left/right foot automatically) • Excel and PDF report export, including combined dual-sensor report • Patient timeline with fall risk evolution charts • Sensor with four operating modes: App-supervised, autonomous button, autonomous motion-triggered, and autonomous WiFi upload while charging • Sensor firmware update from within the App (OTA via Bluetooth) • Automatic support for different sensor hardware revisions • Unified platform: same account works in the mobile App and in the Moverics Web Console INTENDED USERS Moverics is intended exclusively for authorised healthcare professionals and clinical researchers. It is not a consumer App for patient self-use: all information is processed under the clinical responsibility of the professional, who interprets the results. Moverics results are a clinical decision support tool. They do not replace patient examination or professional judgement. DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY Moverics complies with GDPR and Spanish LOPDGDD. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, stored exclusively in European infrastructure (AWS, Paris region) and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
