BFRB Ally: Stop Skin Picking

It's 23:40. You told yourself you'd stop an hour ago, and your hands had other plans. If you know that moment, this app was built for you. Skin picking (dermatillomania, excoriation disorder), hair pulling (trichotillomania), nail biting. These are body-focused repetitive behaviors, BFRBs, and they affect millions of people who mostly deal with them alone. BFRB Ally is the ally for exactly those moments. Not a lecture. Not a streak to protect. A hand on your shoulder at the hour you need one. 🌊 RIDE OUT URGES One tap starts a five-minute wave timer. Urges crest and pass on their own; the timer keeps you company while this one does. Urge surfing is a skill, and every ridden wave trains it. Works offline. ✍️ LOG WITHOUT JUDGMENT Two taps to log an episode of skin picking or hair pulling. A log is data, never a verdict. Your entries quietly draw a map of when and where it happens: the mirror, the bed, late-night scrolling. 🌙 REPAIR, NOT PUNISHMENT After an episode, a short guided audio session helps you land softly instead of spiraling into shame. Because what you do in the ten minutes after matters more than the episode itself. 🧭 GUIDED PATHS Gentle programs that teach the evidence-based skills behind habit reversal training: awareness, competing responses for busy hands, and self-compassion. Adapted to your pattern, whether you feel the urge coming or surface mid-episode without deciding to start. ⏰ TRANCE BREAKER The app learns your personal risk windows from your logs and checks in gently before they open, right when hands usually start wandering. 🤝 WAVE BUDDY Pair anonymously with one other person riding the same waves. No names, no chat, just a squeeze that says someone is there. ⭐ BFRB ALLY PLUS Going deeper is optional. Plus adds the full repair library, all fifteen competing-response strategies with guided audio, risk-window check-ins, the body map, full history and your weekly report. Yearly with a 7-day free trial, or monthly. Cancel anytime. From one of our members: "This app has really helped me. The urges still come, but now I know what to do when they roll in." Whether you searched for a skin picking app, help with trichotillomania, a way to stop nail biting, or you just learned today that what your hands do has a name: welcome. You're not broken, and you're not alone. Made by MindCrafts, the makers of DBT-Mind.
