D-Day Counter keeps the days left until the dates that matter — an exam, a trip, a wedding anniversary, a discharge date — in one large D-000 badge you can read at a glance. Adding a countdown takes about 30 seconds: type a title, pick a date, save. Upcoming dates sort to the top on their own, and dates that have passed keep counting up as D+1, D+2. Switch on a reminder and you get one notification on the morning of the day itself, at whatever time you choose. Most countdown apps bury the number under themes, sharing sheets and setup steps. This one shows the number first, because that is the only thing you opened the app for. Thirty seconds to add a date • Title, date, save — everything else on the form is optional • Pick one of eight colors so each countdown is recognizable in the list • Tap a card to edit it, or delete it from the same screen The number, large and unambiguous • D-7 for a date a week away, D-DAY on the day itself, D+30 for something a month behind you • A plain-language caption under every badge: "7 days left", "Today is the day!", "30 days ago" • The full date is printed in your regional format, so there is nothing to decode • Upcoming countdowns come first, past ones follow in most-recent order Anniversaries that come back every year • Turn on "Repeat every year" for birthdays, wedding anniversaries or a first-date anniversary, and the counter rolls over to next year once the day is over • February 29 birthdays fall back to the last day of February in ordinary years, and month-end dates follow the same rule • Every calculation compares calendar dates only, so daylight saving time or a flight across time zones never shifts a number by a day One reminder, on the day • Notifications are switched on per countdown, not for the whole app • Choose a single delivery time in Settings — 09:00 by default • Repeating anniversaries are rescheduled automatically, including the case where today is the day but your reminder time has already passed • Scheduled reminders are restored after your phone restarts Why the app asks for notifications D-Day Counter requests one Android permission that you will actually see: notifications, and only the first time you switch a reminder on. Decline it and the rest of the app keeps working normally — you simply read your countdowns yourself. The app also declares permission to restore scheduled reminders after a reboot, which is not a sensitive permission and is used for nothing else. There is no location, camera, contacts or storage access. Your countdowns live in a database on the device and are never uploaded, so there is no account to create and nothing to sign in to. Please note this also means there is no cloud sync or automatic backup. If you would rather not see them, "Remove ads" is a single purchase of $2.99 — not a subscription — and it turns every ad off permanently. That is the only thing sold in the app; no feature is locked behind it.
