MediMHA — Mental Health Act

MediMHA helps doctors and approved mental health professionals (AMHPs) in England fill in Mental Health Act 1983 admission forms on their phone. It works completely offline. NOT A GOVERNMENT APP MediMHA is made by MediCAMHS Ltd, an independent company. It is not connected to, approved by or acting for the Department of Health and Social Care, the NHS or any other government body, and it does not provide a government service. Anything you leave blank stays off the form • Enter your name, address and secure email once, and they fill in for you every time • Sign with your finger, then lock your signature so a stray touch can't change it. Your typed name and a declaration are printed with it • Your answers go straight onto the official form pages. If you write more than fits, the form carries on onto extra pages, just like the Word version • The finished PDF has no MediMHA branding, and saves to your Documents folder or wherever you choose • Prefer paper? Print the blank official form and fill it in by hand WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL MediMHA never goes online, so it works anywhere: a ward corridor, a police station or a home visit. KEEPING PATIENT INFORMATION SAFE • The app never sends anything you type anywhere. There is no account, no cloud and no tracking • Saved forms are scrambled and locked on your phone • Add an app lock that uses your phone's own fingerprint, face, PIN or pattern • Saved drafts delete themselves seven days after you last saved them • The work log keeps only initials, date, place and form code PLEASE NOTE MediMHA helps you prepare the paperwork. It does not decide whether someone meets the criteria for detention, and it does not replace your own judgement, the AMHP, the Mental Health Act office, legal advice or local policy. It does not send forms for you, check anyone's identity, arrange the second medical recommendation or the AMHP application, or keep an audit record for your organisation. Its signature is your drawn mark with your typed name, not a certified digital signature. Use it only on a work-approved device with a screen lock, in line with your organisation's information governance policy.
