Basta

Basta helps you visualize how much of your meal to eat, before your first bite. Point your camera at your plate, set a calorie goal for this sitting, and Basta draws rings on your food showing what portion matches your goal. Pick a scenario, eat that much, tap Basta! when you're done. That's the loop. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most nutrition apps ask you to log what you already ate. Basta works in the opposite direction. The decision happens before eating, when it can still change the outcome. No multi-day logging. No streak guilt. No math at the table. Just one moment, one decision. THREE WAYS TO EAT THE SAME MEAL Balanced. A proportional share of everything on the plate. Build Muscle. Same budget, weighted toward protein. Stay Lean. Same budget, weighted toward vegetables. Volume goes up, calorie density goes down, you finish full. The math runs on your phone in milliseconds. The same plate gives the same answer every time. WHAT AI DOES, AND WHAT IT DOESN'T Basta uses AI for one thing: to identify the food on your plate and estimate calories and macros. That's it. The portion plan itself is deterministic math, not AI. Your photo is analyzed, then discarded. Basta does not keep a gallery of your meals. WHO IT'S FOR Adults 18 and older who want portion guidance without the friction of logging. Whether you're trying to build muscle, stay lean, or just eat with more intention, Basta gives you a decision moment that fits into how you actually eat. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS ISN'T Basta is not a medical app. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or prescribe. It's a nutrition and behavior tool. If you have a medical condition that affects what you eat, work with a healthcare provider. Contact us at [email protected].
