Little Ember turns your phone into a soft red light that slowly fades to black, gently guiding your baby into sleep. Why red light? Red is the wavelength least likely to interfere with the body’s natural melatonin — the hormone that signals it’s time to sleep. Bright white and blue light from ordinary screens can keep little ones (and you) alert. Little Ember keeps every pixel a calm shade of red, so the room stays sleep-friendly from the first tap to the last. HOW IT WORKS • Set how long you want the light to take to fade — anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes. • Tap Start. A gentle countdown begins, then the screen fades from a warm red glow down to complete darkness over the time you chose. • Optionally switch on soft white noise to mask household sounds. It loops seamlessly and keeps playing right through the fade. • Tap the screen any time to bring up a “tap again to cancel” bar if you need to stop early. DESIGNED FOR NIGHT-TIME • Every part of the app — buttons, text, the timer — is a shade of red. No harsh white menus to jolt anyone awake. • The screen stays on during the fade (no sudden lock), and brightness is handled for you. • White noise can keep playing even if you switch to another app. CALM, SIMPLE, PRIVATE • No account. No sign-up. • No ads. No interruptions. • No internet connection needed — it works fully offline. • No data collected, ever. Nothing leaves your device.
