Lithotheque

Transform your smartphone into a geological field assistant. www.geostratum.eu Lithotheque is the professional app designed for geologists, Earth science students, paleontologists, and mineralogy enthusiasts. Replace your paper notebook, compass, and maps with a complete, secure, and fully offline digital solution. MAIN FEATURES: 🌍 Mapping & Geolocation Specialized Base Maps: Access global geological maps (Macrostrat) and French maps (BRGM / InfoTerre). Offline Mode: Download and cache map tiles to work in dead zones without any internet connection. Geolocation: Automatic recording of GPS coordinates (Latitude, Longitude, Altitude) and address conversion. ⚒️ Structural Measurement Tools Integrated Compass & Clinometer: Instantly measure Dip and Strike/Azimuth of planes and lineations by placing your device on the outcrop. Stereonet: Visualize your structural measurements directly on a Schmidt or Wulff net and calculate mean vectors. Augmented Reality (AR): Locate your sampling points and visualize distances and orientations in real-time via the camera. 📝 Digital Field Notebook Detailed Sheets: Input lithology, stratigraphy (integrated ICS chronostratigraphic chart), texture, minerals, fossils, and chemical tests (HCl). Photos & Sketches: Take photos and annotate them with sketches directly in the app. Field Checklist: Never leave without your gear (hammer, hand lens, PPE) thanks to the integrated checklist. 🤖 Advanced Artificial Intelligence Local AI (100% Private & Offline): Use visual recognition and voice dictation to fill your notes without sending data to the internet. Scale Detection: The AI automatically verifies if a scale (coin, hammer, pen) is present in your sample photos. Cloud Assistant (Optional): Connect your Gemini API key to enrich descriptions, obtain paleogeographic contexts, or tell the geological history of your samples. 📂 Exports & Reports Standard Formats: Export your data to your favorite GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth) in CSV, GeoJSON, GPX, and KML. PDF Reports: Automatically generate printable PDF sheets of your observations. ZIP Backup: Archive all your data and images in a portable ZIP file. 🔒 Privacy & Security Local-First: Your data belongs to you. Everything is stored locally on your device. No account creation is required. Encryption: Your personal API keys are encrypted with AES-256. Whether you are doing mapping, sedimentology, metamorphism studies, or simple sampling, Lithotheque is the tool that accompanies you everywhere, from the laboratory to the most remote terrains.
