LithoMap

Turn any drive, hike, or weekend trip into a geology adventure. LithoMap brings U.S. geology, fossil records, collectible rocks, minerals, gems, and precious metals together on one interactive map. Explore near home, research a destination before you leave, or see what the landscape around you is made of. EXPLORE FOR FREE The live nationwide map is free to use and does not require an account. • Find reported fossils, petrified wood, collectible rocks, minerals, gems, and precious metals. • Tap the map to learn a geologic unit's name, age, rock types, description, and source. • Filter the map to the discoveries you care about and search any U.S. city, landmark, or address. • Add public-land context while planning a field day. ADD PAID FIELD TOOLS Offline Basic and Offline Plus are optional auto-renewing subscriptions. • Basic and Plus let you save places with a title, notes, and up to six private photos. • Basic and Plus let you download selected map areas—including geology and available discovery records—before leaving cell service. • Plus adds higher offline limits, folders, searchable tags, and GeoJSON export. • Plus lets you privately share a place by exact LithoMap username or a secure seven-day link. Photos and personal account details are not shared. Downloads can pause and resume, so a weak connection does not have to erase your progress. Search your saved places later and reopen any one on the map. TRY OFFLINE BASIC FREE FOR 7 DAYS Eligible new Offline Basic subscribers can try the paid field tools free for 7 days. After the trial, the selected monthly or annual subscription renews unless canceled before the store's stated deadline. Google Play shows eligibility, price, and final billing terms before purchase. LithoMap uses established scientific and government sources and keeps links to original records. Mapped occurrences and boundaries are research leads, not guarantees or permission to enter or collect. Check current ownership, access, closures, permits, and collecting rules with the responsible authority before a trip, and carry an appropriate navigation and safety backup.
