Zryvmix

Zryvmix turns the phone into a small wind tunnel. Drag a control on the aircraft, and the airflow, the forces and the warnings all redraw at once — so the link between what you changed and what happened is visible rather than described. THE TUNNEL A side-profile aircraft sits in a lit chamber with streamlines flowing past it. Four control points around the aircraft set the angle of attack, the camber, the dihedral and the nose weight, and a slider sets the airspeed. Push the angle past the stall point for that configuration and the flow over the top separates, turns turbulent and changes colour, with a stall status, a brief buffet and a warning tone. THE READOUTS Lift, drag and glide ratio update continuously, along with stability and the stall angle worked out for the current shape. The model is deterministic: the same settings always give the same numbers, which is what makes an experiment repeatable. SAVED AIRCRAFT Save a configuration as a profile with its name, its four parameters, the measured lift, drag and glide ratio, the stall status and a note. Profiles are kept in the Wings section and reopen in the tunnel exactly as they were. A set of worked examples comes built in — balanced trainers, fast darts, wide gliders, high-dihedral designs, nose-heavy aircraft and deliberate stall demonstrations. GUIDED EXPERIMENTS Structured challenges with a stated goal: find the best glide angle, catch the onset of stall, weigh camber against drag, minimise drag, maximise lift before the stall, recover separated flow, hit a target glide ratio. The goal sits on the tunnel screen while you tune, and your best result is kept. LESSONS AND QUIZ Short explainers for lift, drag, angle of attack, camber, dihedral, stall, centre of pressure and glide ratio, each with a live demonstration that opens the tunnel with the relevant control highlighted. The quiz then checks what stuck, marking each answer immediately and explaining it. SIDE BY SIDE Compare two saved profiles on the same measurements to see the trade-off directly — more camber buys lift and costs drag. Everything runs on the device, offline, with no account. Reduced-motion and screen-reader support are built in. The simulation is a simplified two-dimensional teaching model, not certified engineering data.
