JZ Transit Runsheet

JZ Transit Runsheet is the traffic desk of a road haulier working the corridor from Swansea to Swindon out of a yard in Newport, with two trunk runs leaving on every running night and a collection round through the valleys. The run sheet lays each run out stop by stop, with the planned times, the pallets dropped and collected, and the load standing on the vehicle after every call. Trailer spaces fills a deck plan as full, half and quarter pallets are typed in and shows how many of the twenty-six spaces are still open. The hours window takes a shift start and the driving already done and prints the break, the daily driving limit and the end of the spread as clock times. Will it go tonight reads the cut-off ladder upwards from the pull-out, so the desk can answer a caller in one look. The walkaround check goes round the vehicle before pull-out and records each defect, and standing lines keep the work that repeats every week, with the pallets it puts on each day.
