Coopos records where every test tile sat in the kiln 🔥, so a defect that keeps returning to one position shows up as a kiln spot rather than a recipe problem. Each firing holds the kiln profile, target cone 🎯, oxidation or reduction, and the ramp rate, target temperature and hold time of every segment. Three standard schedules come with the app as editable segment lists: cone 04 bisque, cone 6 slow-cool and a cone 10 reduction outline. A firing stores a snapshot of its schedule, so later edits leave past records intact. Loading works on a top-down board 📋: pick the top, middle or bottom shelf and drag tile tokens into front or back slots. When you unload, photograph the witness cones 📸 on each shelf and set the bend angle on a curved slider, and Coopos calculates that shelf's offset from the target cone. Tiles get their own photo and defect tags from a fixed list. Kiln Insights 📊 draws a cross-section heat map tinted by defect rate or average cone offset across the firings you choose, and any cell opens the full history of tiles fired in that spot. Recipe by Position breaks one glaze down by shelf level and zone and flags it when its defects cluster in one place. Records and photos 📱 live on your device; there is no account to create and no connection needed. Settings holds your temperature unit, default kiln and atmosphere, plus a cone temperature chart and the defect reference.
