Store listing

Full description
ID Tools is a toolbox for people who need quick situational awareness outdoors, plan routes, or test location-aware apps. Check your heading, see GPS quality and satellite status, plan a route, walk to a saved point, or replay a GPX track as your device's location while you test an app. TOOLS - Compass: live heading, bearing and orientation guidance, with a calibration screen - GNSS info: fix quality, satellites in view, accuracy and location details - Altitude: raw and EGM96-corrected values - Plus Codes: a quick location reference when there is no precise address - Go to point: pick a target or follow a saved route of waypoints and read the bearing and distance to the next one; checkpoints keep advancing with the screen off - Route planner: choose a start, a destination and up to ten stops on a map, for walking, running, cycling or driving, and get turn-by-turn directions in your phone's language. Use the route in the Location simulator, or send it to the Incident Detection app as a GPX file - Frequency generator / SOS: an adjustable tone from 200 Hz to 20 kHz, and a one-tap Morse SOS signal that is still audible in silent mode. The SOS tone is a sound signal, not an emergency service; in an emergency, call your local emergency number - Location simulator: replay a GPX track as mock location, for developers and testers. Set a constant or custom speed, slow down through corners, add random speed variation and junction stops, and control it from a small floating panel over the app you are testing. Optionally use OpenStreetMap data for real junctions and road speed limits SIMULATOR NOTES The Location simulator is for testing and development. Android asks you to pick ID Tools under Developer options > "Select mock location app" before it can work, and the floating panel needs the "Display over other apps" permission. Both are optional and under your control. MAPS Choose your map style in Settings: OpenFreeMap, MapToolKit, MapTiler or OpenStreetMap-based styles, in light or dark. Switch between metric and imperial units, and between light and dark themes. Available in English and Polish. PRIVACY No account, no ads and no analytics. Your routes and settings stay on your device. The map provider you choose sees the tiles you load, the route planner contacts a public routing service only when you tap Calculate route, and the simulator contacts a public OpenStreetMap service only if you turn on OpenStreetMap data. Details are in the Privacy Policy. ID Tools is a companion to the Incident Detection app, but works fully on its own.

What's new

- Route planner can avoid ferries and toll roads. - New route planner control, with an optional "keep this route" switch. - Turn-by-turn directions are saved as standard GPX waypoints. - Location simulator keeps the road data it already downloaded if the map service fails.
