Full description
Incident Detection watches for possible crashes while you cycle, ride a motorcycle, run, walk, hike, drive, or do water activities like kayaking or canoeing - and, with a paired heart-rate sensor, for a sustained abnormal heart rate too - then automatically alerts people you choose if something goes wrong. It also offers Check-in mode (periodic "are you OK?" prompts) and Gym mode (a self-confirmed timer), for when you don't want to track an activity at all. HOW IT WORKS Start a session and the app tracks your route via GPS, accelerometer, and gyroscope - only while the session runs, never in the background otherwise. A sudden impact followed by an abnormal stop, or a sustained abnormal heart rate (with an optional sensor), shows a countdown screen so you can cancel if you're fine. If you don't respond, it texts (and optionally calls) your emergency contacts with your last known location. KEY FEATURES - Automatic crash detection for cycling, motorcycle riding, running, walking, hiking, driving, and water activities like kayaking or canoeing - Check-in mode: skip activity tracking and get asked "are you OK?" at an interval you choose - Gym mode: a self-confirmed "I'm OK" timer for workouts where your phone isn't on you, backed by heart-rate monitoring if paired - Guardian mode: pair with one or more phones over Bluetooth so each of you can tell the others are nearby, with an automatic alert to your own contacts if you lose contact - Remote location beacon: optional Guardian mode extension that shares your location with an already-paired Guardian over the internet when out of Bluetooth range - Reminders: predefined or custom prompts (drink water, stretch, and more), all day or during an activity, with optional escalation to the same emergency alert - Optional heart-rate sensor support, with its own anomaly alert using the same countdown/emergency notification as crash detection - Optional cadence and bike radar (iGPSport SR Mini) sensor support, including close-pass proximity alerts and group radar sharing with nearby riders - GPS-free monitoring for Walk, Run, and Car to save battery - distance/pace estimated from your step counter or a paired Bluetooth treadmill, calibratable afterwards - Emergency SMS with your location, plus an optional automatic call to your primary contact and optional photo capture - Manual "Call for help" button for when you already know you need help - Adjustable detection sensitivity for walking, since a fall doesn't look like a bike or car crash - Turn-by-turn navigation for an imported GPX route, a past activity, or a saved route - including an optional "ghost rider" pace comparison - Full session history with route, distance, speed, elevation, and heart rate/cadence/step count if recorded - Home-screen widgets for Call for help, Share location, and Reminders - Optional Strava upload: connect your account to upload a finished workout, one at a time or automatically YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE, BY DEFAULT Incident Detection has no server and no account by default. Routes, emergency contacts, and photos are stored only on your phone - never uploaded anywhere. If a crash is confirmed, the app briefly scans for nearby Bluetooth devices and saves what it finds as potential evidence with that incident, staying on your phone too. Guardian mode exchanges only a random id and display name with whoever you pair with, directly over Bluetooth - no location or other data passes between the two phones that way. Two optional exceptions, both off by default: Strava upload, and Guardian mode's remote location beacon, which sends your location to a small server so an already-paired Guardian can see it when you're out of Bluetooth range. Incident Detection is a personal safety tool, not a substitute for calling emergency services when you need immediate medical help.
