IAMFine

IAMFine is a personal safety check-in app. You confirm you are fine on a schedule you set. If you don't, the people you chose are told where you are. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick up to three emergency contacts from your phone book. 2. Choose how often you check in - every 12 or 24 hours. 3. When the timer runs out, IAMFine asks if you are okay. One tap and you're done. 4. If you don't respond, an alarm rings on your phone. 5. If you still don't respond, your contacts receive a message with your name, the time you were last seen, and a map link to your location. WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET The alert is sent by SMS, over the mobile network. It does not need Wi-Fi or mobile data. If your phone is offline, out of data, or somewhere with only a weak signal, your contacts are still notified. This is the part of the app that matters most when something has actually gone wrong. EMERGENCY BUTTON Don't want to wait for a check-in? Press Emergency and every contact is notified straight away with your current location. FEATURES - Check-in reminders every 12 or 24 hours - Up to 3 emergency contacts - Alarm sounds you choose, loud enough to wake you - The check-in prompt appears over your lock screen - Pause checks for 24 hours when you don't need them - Full check-in history and a log of every alert sent - Your schedule survives a phone restart WHY IAMFINE ASKS FOR PERMISSIONS SMS - to send the emergency alert directly from your phone when there is no internet. This is the only way to reach your contacts when data is switched off. Location - to include where you are in the alert. Without it your contacts know something is wrong, but not where to go. Contacts - so you can pick your emergency contacts from your phone book. Only the contacts you select ever leave your device. Notifications and alarms - to deliver the check-in reminder and sound the alarm on time, even when your screen is off. You can decline any of these. The app keeps working, but the features that depend on them will not. PRIVACY We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. Your location is shared only with the emergency contacts you chose, only inside an alert. We keep only your most recent position, never a history of your movements.
