Full description
Heat Engineer Software helps heating engineers and surveyors capture property information, complete heat loss surveys and prepare customer proposals from an Android phone or tablet. From an initial estimate to a detailed room-by-room survey, gather the information you need for heat pump and conventional heating system design. Start on site, then synchronise your project with the Heat Engineer desktop platform to continue your work. ROOM-BY-ROOM HEAT LOSS SURVEYS Capture property details for heat loss calculations designed to follow BS EN 12831-1:2017, the CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide and relevant MCS requirements. • Create rooms using preset or custom names. • Enter dimensions measured with a tape measure or laser measure. • Select building materials from the library or enter custom descriptions and U-values. • Record walls, floors, windows, doors, ceilings and roofs. • Capture complex rooms and vaulted ceilings using illustrated profiles. • Record existing radiator types and dimensions. • Add photographs of rooms and proposed installation locations. • Review your survey using built-in quality assurance checks. • Continue on desktop for further design work and detailed reporting. FLEXIBLE SURVEY METHODS Enter measurements manually using a tape measure or laser measure, or access surveys imported through your MagicPlan or Vieweet dashboard integrations. Choose the method that suits the property and your equipment. HEAT LOSS ESTIMATES Get started with an instant estimate based on the property's EPC, or use the whole-house heat loss tool to support initial assessments and quotation preparation. Progress to a detailed room-by-room calculation for final heating system and emitter design. CUSTOMER PROPOSALS Build equipment and labour costs, then prepare a customer proposal within your project. Keep your survey information and proposed work together as the project develops. HEAT PUMP PERFORMANCE ESTIMATES Estimate heat pump system energy use and performance to support discussions with your customers about their proposed heating system. DNO APPLICATIONS Prepare a heat pump grid connection application for the Distribution Network Operator as part of your project workflow. AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP SOUND ASSESSMENTS Assess noise from a proposed air source heat pump installation to support checks against permitted development noise requirements. • Record the proposed manufacturer and model. • Enter the manufacturer's A-weighted sound power level. • Describe the assessment position and add photographs. • Review the assessment result. • Revisit assessments to update equipment or site details. • Produce a PDF assessment report for your project records. A sound assessment addresses noise criteria; other planning requirements may also apply. CONNECTED FROM SITE TO DESKTOP Save and revisit your surveys, assessments and proposals as your project develops. Synchronise with the Heat Engineer desktop platform to continue working from the office. The redesigned home screen gives you direct access to key tools and ongoing projects, with light and dark modes available. GET STARTED A Heat Engineer account is required. What's new

Catalogue information downloads in the background and remains available for offline selection. Radiator size changes are saved while offline, with results marked as pending until calculated online. Improved reliability when saving and reopening surveys.
