Handyman Calculator

Every calculator a job needs, in one construction calculator app that works with no signal. Handyman Calculator does the arithmetic you actually do on site: feet, inches and fractions on a tape measure, bag counts for concrete, sheets of drywall, stair risers, rafter lengths, and the rest. No account, no unlock key, and no network permission. Key Features • Exact tape measure math: add, subtract, multiply and divide measurements like 12' 6-1/2" without converting to decimals first • Every length held as an exact number of 64ths of an inch, so a long chain of additions never drifts • Switch between exact 1/64" and tape rounding to the nearest 1/16" whenever you want • Read any answer back in feet and inches, plain inches, decimal inches or millimeters • Material counts that always round up, because you cannot buy 0.4 of a bag • Every result line shows how it was worked out, and each calculator carries a worked example you can open on screen • Imperial and metric with one switch that moves the whole app between systems Sixteen Calculators, Grouped by Trade Measurement • Feet-inch calculator with a running memory • Length, area, volume and weight converters Framing and Structure • Stairs: risers, tread depth, total run and stringer length • Common rafter: length and roof angle from span and pitch • Wall studs at 16" or 24" on center • Deck boards and fence pickets from width and gap Materials • Concrete slab, footing and column: volume plus bag count • Drywall sheets from wall or ceiling dimensions • Paint from area, coats and an editable spread rate • Roofing squares from footprint and pitch • Tile and flooring with a waste percentage • Mulch, gravel and topsoil by yard and by bag • Lumber board feet and cost Everyday • Fractions to decimals and back • Grade and slope: percent, ratio, angle, rise per foot • Circle, rectangle, and right triangle with the 3-4-5 square check How It Works 1. Pick a calculator from the list, or from the favorites you have pinned to the top 2. Type dimensions the way you read them off a tape, in either unit system 3. Read the result with its working shown, rounded the way suppliers sell 4. Scroll back through the history tape and tap any entry to reopen it with the same numbers Works With No Signal There is no network code in this app at all. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and there is no account to create. As a material estimator it runs the same in a basement, on a roof, or on a lot with no bars. Why Choose Handyman Calculator • One app instead of a phone full of single-purpose tools • Free, with no pro key, no subscription, and no upsell at the bottom of a result • History and favorites, so the calculators you reach for most stay one tap away • Exact fraction arithmetic instead of drifting decimals • Answers shaped like a supplier order: whole bags, whole sheets, whole boards Code Figures Are Defaults, Not Authorities Stair limits and similar numbers start at common IRC defaults and are yours to edit. Your local code is the authority, not this app. Check your own jurisdiction before you cut. Built to Be Answerable If a number ever looks wrong, mail the developer from the menu and you will get an answer. A construction calculator earns trust one verified result at a time, which is why every formula here ships with worked examples cross-checked against published sources. From framing walls to tiling a floor to pricing board feet of lumber, Handyman Calculator keeps the whole job's arithmetic in one place, exact where it matters and rounded up where the store counts.
